2011 Predicted Fashion Trends for Women
Here they are our Top Ten Tips for Women's Fashion in 2011.
1. Neutral colored blazers. They are included in an affordable clothing line that the Olsen twins just
kicked off (Olsenboye). The Banana Republic is also spending major advertising dollars on this.
2. Black and red plaid clothes. This includes skirts, shirts, dresses, pants, and coats.
All major chains are pushing it hard and they’re loading the racks.
3. Black faux leather skirts because they’re sexy and affordable. People such as Carrie Underwood
and Isla Fisher are making sure this one goes over. H & M and Express have gazillions of them on
the way.
4. Gnarly looking jeans rolled up with two inch cuffs. Masculine looking boots are
worn underneath. Katie Holmes is making sure the world takes notice. This
is a comfortable fashion statement.
5. Dresses with huge butterflies on them. This will go from winter through
spring. Katy Perry, Courteney Cox, and Pamela Anderson have recently been seen
taking flight. Some are long sleeved, and others are short sleeved with a cardigan
worn over the top.
6. Short sparkly dresses with tight long sleeves. The colors are dark greens, blacks, and purples.
These are very cute and simple. It’s a piece that will work for a casual dinner or holiday party.
Kristen Stewart and Taylor Swift both sell the idea well.
7. Gray tweed coats, dresses, shoes, and skirts. Forever 21, Silence & Noise, and
Charles David have very attractive pieces out. This is a good investment because
they are basic and versatile.
8. Belted dresses and sweaters. These are medium to thick belts with big buckles.
Most of them are black. This style looks great and we haven’t seen
in awhile. Everyone from Demi Moore to Blake Lively agrees.
9. The wrap dress is a timeless piece. It has been around since Diane Von
Furstenberg created it in the seventies. Designers such as Erin Fetherston have
versions of it in their latest collections.
10. Faux fur pull-through scarves. This accessory is adorable and warm. Rachel Zoe has her name on
one style, and has been wearing it everywhere. It’s a given that other designers will follow with
their own version.
